Overall Health Management
Employees are the most valuable assets of a company. Guiding and supporting employees in managing stress, relieving pressure, and improving their health is just as important as achieving performance goals. As part of its commitment to employee care and the promotion of a healthy workforce, Chroma’s headquarters received the Health-Promoting Workplace Certification from the Health Promotion Administration and the Sports Enterprise Certification from the Sports Administration in 2023. These certifications remained valid throughout 2024. Additionally, the Kaohsiung plant participated in the 2023 Outstanding Healthy Workplace Awards and was recognized for excellence in health management. Key evaluation highlights included the implementation of comprehensive employee health checkups, effective management and tracking of health examination records, appropriate handling of job placement, return-to-work, and fitness-for-duty assessments, as well as the execution of epidemic prevention measures in line with established plans. These efforts formed the basis for developing health promotion programs and activities, earning high praise from the judging committee.
In today’s high-performance and profit-driven workplace, the goal of an organization is to enhance employee performance, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment, while reducing turnover intention, in order to achieve the ultimate vision of sustainable development.
For employees traveling abroad on business, occupational health nurses provide pre-departure health education, emphasizing the importance of hygiene awareness and necessary vaccinations in high-risk areas. They also share up-to-date information on disease risks such as COVID-19, malaria, tuberculosis, and HIV/AIDS. Additionally, thoughtful epidemic prevention kits are provided to employees for overseas business trips.
In 2024, the number of overseas business travel health education sessions conducted for employees was 615 at the headquarters, 86 at the Hsinchu branch, and 21 at the Kaohsiung branch.
Periodic Health Examinations and Manag ement System

Chroma conducts regular health checkups and management for new employees, current employees, and special operations employees (ionizing radiation operations, lead operations, methylene diphenyl diisocyanate, chromic acid, indium). All related expenses are fully covered by the Company. In 2023, the total cost of health examinations for current employees was approximately NTD 4.4 million.
All employees receive a regular health examination every two years, while employees aged 65 and above undergo the examination once a year. This standard exceeds the legally required frequency and is provided to employees who have been with the Company for more than one year. In addition to the items required by law, the health examination includes additional items jointly determined by the on-site occupational physician and occupational health nurse, such as ultrasound and bone density tests, providing employees with more comprehensive health care benefits. Both the frequency and scope of the examinations exceed legal requirements, and the completion rate among eligible employees exceeds 99%. Based on physical and health examination results, health risks are classified into levels, with corresponding health management measures provided according to each risk category.
To protect employee privacy, physical copies of health examination records are stored in locked cabinets inside the physician consultation room. Electronic records are kept in a nurse-exclusive encrypted folder, with access rights limited to the occupational health nurse only.
Based on health examination results, Chroma implements a graded health management system and provides on-site physician consultation services. In 2024, a total of 406 employees at the headquarters (including Huaya Plant) received physician consultations. In response to common health concerns, the Company also organized disease prevention and health education seminars to provide convenient access to medical resources and encourage employees to seek timely medical care, while actively promoting accurate health knowledge.
To further promote employee health and in alignment with government public health policies, Chroma conducts annual government-funded cancer screening programs (breast cancer - mammography, cervical cancer - Pap smear, colorectal cancer - fecal occult blood test). In 2024, a total of 109 employees at the headquarters participated in these screenings.
Health Protection Program
In conjunction with the regular health examinations for on-duty employees, Chroma implements a Health Protection Program that includes the prevention of overload-induced cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, as well as ergonomicsrelated hazards. The program also involves conducting suitability assessments for middle-aged and older employees through interviews. Based on the assessment results, appropriate health guidance is provided by occupational physicians or occupational health nurses via consultations or educational emails. Depending on the risk evaluation, recommendations may include medical referrals, psychological counseling, or adjustments to job assignments. The Health Protection Program is also regularly promoted through educational training sessions.
To enhance employee health care, relieve work-related stress and fatigue, and create job opportunities for people with disabilities, Chroma employs individuals with disabilities to provide on-site services. Starting in 2023, visually impaired massage therapists were also hired at the Hsinchu and Kaohsiung branches. These therapists provide stress relief and muscle relaxation services to employees twice a week. In 2024, a total of 4,161 sessions were provided across all sites, an increase from 3,749 sessions in 2023.

Maternity Protection Program
In 2024, a total of 10 pregnant employees across the headquarters and various plants received maternal health consultations. These consultations were conducted by a female specialist in occupational medicine and occupational health nurses. Based on assessments of workplace hazard risks and individual health conditions, they provided hazard identification, comprehensive risk evaluations, job fitness adjustments, and task reviews. Health guidance during pregnancy was also offered, helping employees understand potential risks, company maternity subsidies, lactation room usage, and available resources such as mother-and-baby magazines. All employees, regardless of gender, may present a maternity handbook to receive a maternity gift. Workplace environments are evaluated for potential hazards through on-site inspections and safety data sheets, and hazard notifications are provided according to the classification of maternal health risk management for each work area.

促進員工心理健康
To promote employee mental well-being, the Company has partnered with the Taoyuan Lifeline Association to implement an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), offering consultation services via phone and email from 09:00 to 21:00 on workdays. Consultation topics include stress, anxiety, depression, interpersonal communication, family or parenting issues, and emotional relationship exploration. Depending on the employee’s condition and after assessment, one-on-one counseling sessions with a psychologist may be arranged on-site. In addition, monthly mental health education articles are published on the iHealth wellness platform to strengthen the Company’s multi-channel mental support system for employees.
In response to seasonal holidays, the Company thoughtfully organized one stress-relief horticultural workshop each for Mother’s Day and Christmas. These hands-on sessions provided employees with relaxing moments during the workday, creating a soothing atmosphere within the facility and significantly enhancing their sense of mental well-being. In light of current concerns about mental health and diversity and inclusion, the Company also held a series of related seminars, such as common mental health issues in the workplace and coping strategies, as well as an introductory session on DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) from a psychological perspective.
