Industry Associations
Chroma actively participates in and supports activities organized by industry associations. The aim is to collaborate with these associations to promote industry-related policies and foster collaboration between industry, government, and academia for mutual benefit. In addition to membership in these organizations, the Chairman and senior executives of various BUs also hold key positions on many committees. For example, several employees from the Test and Measurement BU are current members of the Internal Committee of the Taiwan Battery Association. In terms of activities, the President of the Semiconductor Test Equipment BU, George Chang, serves as a member of the SEMI Packaging Test Committee. He leads his team to actively participate in SEMICON exhibitions worldwide organized by SEMI, collaborating closely with SEMI to expand their presence in the global market. Furthermore, the President of the Integrated Systems Solution BU and the Optical Inspection Solutions BU, Mr. I-Shih Tseng, was distinguished guest of honor at the opening of the Semiconductor Advanced Inspection and Metrology Forum, which actively supports exchanges between academia and industry.
Chroma is not only a longstanding member of many industrial associations but also keeps abreast of industry trends and joins emerging industry associations. For example, in 2023, Chroma joined the Society of Automotive Engineers Taipei Section (SAE) and the Optical Communications and Silicon Photonics Organization under the Taiwan Optoelectronic Semiconductor Industry Association (TOSIA). Additionally, with growing global concern over climate change and global warming issues in recent years, Chroma has joined the Taiwan Net Zero Emission Association. Through collaboration with the association and the government, Chroma obtains the latest information, policies, and plans regarding net-zero carbon emissions, working together to achieve the 2050 net-zero emissions target.
