Chroma, founded on measurement technology, has long been dedicated to advancing industrial development and driving innovation in emerging markets. The Company actively promotes STEM education closely aligned with its industry, focusing on five key areas: "talent cultivation", "corporate internships", "academic research collaboration", "scholarships and grants", and "STEM competitions". Talent Development

The 3rd Chroma Paper Award
Chroma actively invests in the promotion of science and technology education and the cultivation of innovative talent. The "Chroma Paper Award" is held to inspire and encourage Taiwanese students to engage in technology research and development and creative applications. This education promotion plan also fosters close collaboration between industry, academia, and research institutions, and promotes innovation and advancement in science and technology. Over the years, the Chroma Paper Award has received a total of 241 submissions from students. The third Chroma Paper Award, launched in 2025,This edition of Award was held in collaboration with the College of Industry-Academia Innovation, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. categorized submissions into power electronics technologies and semiconductor testing technologies. Outstanding works were submitted by students from 25 departments across 19 colleges and universities. The finals and award ceremony were held on March 19, 2026, at the Hilton Taipei Sinban.
Chroma Technology Education Volunteer
Since 2024, the Chroma and Cultural Educational Foundation has been promoting "Rural Students, Technology Education Rooting Program," inviting passionate Chroma employees to serve as one-day technology education volunteers and instructors. By visiting school campuses and interacting with 4th- to 6th-grade elementary students, the program aims to nurture the next generation of young engineers. The Company has also launched a series of campus-based technology education programs. In 2025, Chroma hosted a summer learning camp at its headquarters site and, in collaboration with Shangda Elementary School in Guanyin and Nangang Elementary School in Taoyuan, organized a total of 5 science education activities, benefiting 88 students.


Top University Program
For five consecutive years, Chroma's Test & Measurement BU has promoted the Top University Program, visiting universities and colleges across northern, central, and southern Taiwan. A total of 37 universities and colleges across Taiwan were reached, with over 2,154 faculty members and students participating. The program has consistently received recognition and support from participating professors. Chroma will continue to foster strong partnerships with leading universities and diverse technical and vocational education systems. By collaborating with academic and industry experts for co-teaching, and aligning with future technological applications and industry trends, the program aims to better equip students with practical skills for future employment. Additionally, student feedback is collected through course surveys to identify topics of interest, which are incorporated into the planning of the following year's curriculum. This approach not only helps strengthen students' professional capabilities but also ensures the content stays aligned with the latest research trends.
Scholarship

Chroma Education Scholarship
To encourage students to pursue academic excellence and recognize those who demonstrate outstanding performance both in academics and in specialized fields, the Chroma Cultural and Educational Foundation established the "Chroma Education Scholarship" in 2022. The scholarship has been awarded for four sessions to date, benefiting a total of 195 students. The scholarship is awarded to children of employees from Chroma and its affiliated companies, supporting them in their journey to become well-rounded and high-achieving individuals.
Chroma Academic Excellence Scholarship
The scholarship encourages applications from graduate and doctoral students in engineering-related departments such as electronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, and information technology. In addition to receiving the scholarship, award recipients may join the company for two years after graduation, promoting industry-academia collaboration and the integration of academic learning with practical application. In 2025, a total of 8 students were successfully awarded the scholarship.
STEM Competition
IFEC 2025
The IEEE "IFEC 2025 International Future Energy Challenge," co-organized by the National Taipei University of Technology and Chroma, took place from July 15 to 18 at Chroma's headquarters in Taoyuan, Taiwan. Seven student teams from the United States, Germany, Belgium, Poland, India, Serbia, and Taiwan engaged in a meaningful dialogue on technology, innovation, and international exchange.
I2MTC 2025
Chroma participated as a Gold Sponsor in the IEEE International Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference (I2MTC 2025) held in Germany, collaborating with the global academic community to inspire innovation among young students in the field of measurement technology. This event was also part of Chroma's "Bright Minds" initiatives to promote technology exchange among youth, featuring the exclusive theme "Bright Minds, Trusted Measurements," highlighting the critical role of measurement in technological innovation.


Formula Student Taiwan (FST)
2025 FuStar Future Star Science and Creativity Challenge organized by the Association
The Chroma Cultural and Educational Foundation sponsored the "FuStar Future Star Science and Creativity Challenge" organized by the Photonics Industry & Technology Development Association and the Society of Taiwan Women in Science and Technology. Student teams from public and private high schools (including vocational high schools) across Taiwan participated in the competition, which concluded successfully on December 7, 2025. This year's theme, "AI Transforms New Thinking," focused on the integration of basic science and artificial intelligence (AI) to explore the infinite future technological possibilities. This competition aims to inspire students' passion for AI and technology applications, foster innovative thinking, cultivate future talent with practical skills, and inject new momentum into the industry.


NIAR i-ONE Instrument Technology Innovation Competition
Chroma sponsored the 17th "NIAR i-ONE Instrument Technology Innovation Competition," organized by the National Center for Instrumentation Research of the National Institutes of Applied Research. Founded in 2009, the competition promotes the development of cutting-edge technologies and fosters talent in selfmade instruments, aiming to cultivate future scientific research professionals and bring Taiwan's research capabilities to the global stage.
