Health Promotion Seminar - Learn To Swim In The Office

It is our wish that employees use their spare time from work to take part in health seminars and activities; therefore, we have organized Sports Enterprise workshops. The head coach of the Taiwan Water Polo Club was invited to demonstrate the types of exercises our employees could do right in the office that can make them good swimmers who better appreciate the importance of exercise in water. The goal was to provide our employees with practical knowledge on physical exercise.

Technological Physical Fitness Testing

Test items: InBody composition analysis, muscle fitness (grip strength), flexibility (seated forward bend) and cardiovascular fitness (in-place progressive knee raising and stepping). After the tests, the participants would be briefed on the significance and meaning of tests they had just performed. The tests took about 10 to 15 minutes per participant

Health Promotion Plan - Sculpting Better Curves Begins With Fat

According to the results from the 2018 health checkup, 26.8% of our employees had a BMI within the 24 to 26.9 range, while 26.4% belonged to the group with a BMI of more than 27. These numbers reflect the fact that most of our Company employee health related issues can be attributed to obesity, diet and an inadequate level of physical activity. In an effort to encourage employees to take part in our health promotional activities, our health activities for the year concentrated on a group weight and fat loss campaign, where employees took part in teams of two. A course on healthy nutrition was planned that related to "dietary management", "exercise management" cardio exercises and "mutual encouragement" accountability from partners that helped participating employees to get in better shape. This helped them achieve healthier and better lifestyles, which in turn mitigate the risks of escalating chronic diseases.

Service From Visually Impaired Masseurs

Chroma has hired qualified visually impaired masseurs who provide their services on the Company premises. Such an arrangement not only provides work to a disadvantaged minority in society, but also enables employees to enjoy relaxing massages. As they unwind during the massage, they also contribute to the cause of a charity.

Parenting Workshop - The Golden Key To Opening Parent-Child Communication

Here at Chroma, we encourage our employees to pay attention to their own mental well-being and family live, just as they would to their work, because the quality of their work is just as important as the quality of their lives. Chroma brought on a renowned lecturer on parenting to speak to our employees. In an easy-to-understand and humorous way, the speaker shared tips and strategies on positive and effective communication and parenting. Realistic scenarios with which we may all be familiar served as case studies and demonstrated methods that parents could implement at home to resolve specific conflicts.

Health Workshop - OTJ Health Check Up Report Presentation (For Osteoporosis)

December 23rd, 2019

A Health Checkup Report Presentation, organized by the Safety & Health Center, was carried out by a family medicine physician from the Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital. The attendees learned about the significance of specific numbers in their health reports that fell outside the normal range. We hope that workshops such as this will help our employees to cultivate the proper knowledge about health and illness to strive to achieve both physical and mental LOHAS.

Health Credits

We have created a system for employees to collect“health credit points” in an effort to promote physical and mental well-being while also encouraging our employees to be actively involved in health promotional activities. These points can be earned by taking part in health promotion activities, seminars, screening for four major cancers, physical exercises, competitions etc. Once enough points have been earned from such participation they can be redeemed for different rewards.
